Sacred Kailash
Visit one of the world?s most sacred mountains, Mt. Kailash, revered by four eastern religions- Buddhism, Hinduism, Bon-po, and Jainism. Believed to be the physical embodiment of the mythical Mt. Meru, Mt. Kailash is considered to be the center of the universe, and the navel of the world. Mt. Kailash is the home to 4 of Asia?s most holy rivers, the Brahmaputra, Indus, Karnali (a major tributary of the Ganges) and Sutlej rivers all have their source within 100 km of Mt. Kailash. We meet for this trek in Kathmandu and travel to the Tibetan plateau by plane and jeep. We join religious pilgrims in a trek around Kailash and the holy Lake Manasarovar. This is 25 day rigorous journey with 14 days of challenging trekking, fantastic views, and cultural experiences.
