Annapurna Sanctuary

Annapurna Sanctuary

This challenging trek takes you into the abode of the Goddesses, the Annapurna Sanctuary, where the sacred Annapurnas and Gangapurna reside. These mountains, named for important Hindu goddesses, are joined by the picturesque fish-tail mountain, Machapuchare and many other major Himalayan peaks. The trek takes you from beautiful Pokhara nestled on a lake reflecting the Annapurna range, up through a gorge to the entrance to the park. From there we head to the base camps of Machapuchare and Annapurna. We trek through the homeland of the Gurung people, renowned for their bravery as Gurkha soldiers. This is an opportunity to see an incredible variety of landscapes, from sub-tropical to alpine, see trekking at its best, and meet wonderful people.
