Celebrate Sagalgaan in San Francisco!
Sagalgaan is the Mongolian and Buryat 'White Nights' or New Year. The evening celebration will include Tibetan, Tuvan and Mongolian entertainment and a four course dinner, including vegetarian entries.
Menu
Starters:
Phing Alla Tibetan crepe filled with bean thread, vegetables, and shitaki mushrooms
Mixed Momo Plate Dumplings with beef, chicken and vegetable
Second Course:
Lhabu Dhikrul Lamb, daikon radish, and spinach leaves, simmered in broth with herbs.
Shaptak Sliced marinated beef steak, pan-fried with red and green peppers in a spicy tomato, onion, and ginger sauce. Served with bhaley flat bread
Tsel Sesha Fresh mushrooms sauteed with carrotts, broccoli, ginger and garlic
Tsel Gyaker Vegetable curry of cauliflower, potatoes and green peas, served with rice
Third Course
Thenthuk Hand-pulled pasta in a soup cooked with Daikon radish and spinach with a choice of beef, chicken or lamb.
Dessert
Bhatsa manku Roasted barley, brown sugar and cheese flavored bread dish with cream sauce
We will receive a special performance of Tuvan, Buyat and Tibetan songs by local artists.
Price per person is $30, alcohol not included.
